Behind the lens
Lynn Cluess Manzione is an award-winning portrait photographer, documentary filmmaker, fine art photographer, and author based in New York’s Hudson Valley, just outside New York City.
For more than 30 years, she has helped individuals, professionals, and organizations create images and films that reflect who they are, what they do, and what matters most. From professional headshots and personal branding portraits to documentary films and fine art photography, Lynn’s work explores the intersection of storytelling, human connection, and visual expression.
Her documentary Addressed to You from Jimmy received Best Documentary honors at the New York Pause Film Festival and was featured at the annual conferences of both the New York State Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. Her work as a filmmaker reflects a commitment to exploring themes of resilience, purpose, and the human experience.
Lynn’s portrait and fine art photography have been exhibited in galleries in New York, including the Hopper House Gallery in Nyack and the Photo District Gallery in New York City. Her work has also been published in national publications, including Shape Magazine and the Best of American Photo Mentor Series.
She is also the author of A Wondrous Journey: A Small Book with Big Lessons, a reflection on resilience, purpose, and finding meaning through life’s unexpected challenges.
Whether working with a corporate executive, an artist, a nonprofit organization, or a documentary subject, Lynn’s goal is simple: to create images and stories that leave a lasting impact.
“Art has the power to help us see one another. It preserves the moments that shape us, the stories that inspire us, and the people who touch our lives.”
